Ban for Delivery Motorcycles on High-Speed Roads in Abu Dhabi
The Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility) has announced a ban on delivery motorcycles on certain roads in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in considering to enhancing road safety and protecting delivery motorcyclists (deliveryman) and road users (other vehicles) they have brought forward this new initiative.
Starting from the mid of May 2026 month, Abu Dhabi to ban delivery motorcycles on certain roads; delivery of motorcycles will be restricted on roads with Road speed limits of 120 km/h or higher, as per the post from AD MOBILITY on X platform it is mentioned specifically on Sheikh Zayed Street (from Sheikh Zayed Bridge to the Tunnel).
AD Mobility highlighted that roads with heavy and fast-moving traffic can present higher risks for delivery riders and drivers on the road. This regulation aims to improve traffic safety and reduce any kind of major or minor accident involving delivery riders.
